How OG Predict Works

10 Matches would be selected all across Europe’s top leagues. Each user will have a free prediction ticket every week. You can predict the correct scores for all 10 matches. Pay attention to the following criteria;

• Accurate Scoreline: If you get the correct score line, you get 20 points. E.g you predict 2–1 and the final result is 2–1. (note: 2–1 is not the same as 1–2)
• Accurate Goal Margin: If you’re not so fortunate to get the correct scoreline but the scoreline you predicted has the same goal margin as the final result, you get 10 points. E.g You predict a 2–1 scoreline, but the final result is 3–2.
• Accurate winning Team: If you’re not so fortunate to predict the accurate scoreline or goal margin but you manage to predict the winning team, you get 5 points. E.g. You predict 2–1 but the final result is 2–0.
• Accurate Draw Scenario: If you manage to predict the exact scoreline and the game ends in a draw, you get 20 points. E.g. you predict 2–2 and the final result is 2–2.
• Inaccurate Draw Scenario: If you manage to predict that the game ends in a draw but didn’t get the exact scoreline, you get 10 points. E.g. If you predict 2–2 and the final result is 0–0.
• Inaccurate Prediction: If you don’t manage to get any of the above scenarios, then you get 0 points. This can happen if you predict that the home side wins, but in the end, the away side wins or the game ends up in a draw. Another possible scenario is if you predict a draw but either side wins. E.g If you predict 2–1 and the final result is 1–2. E.g.2. If you predict 2–1 and the final result is 2–2. E.g.3. If you predict 2–2 and the final result is 2–1.

Premium Features and Reward Model

Users can apply for premium account. Premium accounts give users the opportunity to be able to have more than one prediction ticket weekly. This increases your chances on the leaderboard.

The points from a user’s multiple tickets wouldn’t be summed, each ticket would carry its own point and have its own position on the leaderboard. E.g. If you have 3 tickets and the scores are 250, 275, 310 respectively, each of those tickets have a chance to be on the leaderboard. If it happens that those scores were the highest for the week, then your ticket can be number 1, 2 and 3 on the leaderboard. More details would be communicated on how to apply for premium.

Top 10 users on the leaderboard will be given some rewards in $OG and/or $BNB. The exact figures would be communicated after launch. Users can also get prizes in the form of PlayStation 5, Oculus VR Headset, Soccer jerseys etc. However, it should be noted that OG predict isn’t a platform to get rich quick or an alternative to betting. The main aim of the platform is to bring together like-minded football lovers in one community, the incentives are just a plus and part of the fun the platform delivers. Never should our platform be seen as a means to make money.

Upcoming Feature

Soon, OG Predict would launch its maiden Fantasy Football which will complement the existing prediction platform.

For those who might not be so familiar with Fantasy Football, let’s take FPL (Fantasy Premier League) for example. Fantasy Premier League is an online game in which players collect points based on how real-life footballers perform each week. Simply put: you choose a virtual team of Premier League footballers, and if their real-life counterparts do well, you get points.

For example, if you have Raheem Sterling in your FPL team and the real Sterling scores a goal for Manchester City, you will be rewarded. If you have Jordan Pickford as your goalkeeper and the real-life Pickford keeps a clean sheet (doesn't concede any goals), you get points.

As you may have noticed from the above example, you need to fill your team with all the positions a real team would have - you're not allowed to simply buy 11 strikers who score goals every weekend. You need goalkeepers, defenders and midfielders too, plus one substitute for each position.
