Javascript Scroll Animation Tutorial | GSAP and ScrollMagic Tutorial
Today we are going to create a cool javascript scroll animation by creatng a paper plane flying on the screen.
We are going to be using a few libraries, GSAP TweenLite will be used to take care of animating different properties of the image, bazier plugin will be used to create a path for the image to follow along. TimelineLite can be used to sequence together multiple animation and ScrollMagic will help us animate based on scroll.
This video is made for people who are interested in learning to create javascript scroll animations.

Today we are going to look at how to design and create a fully working website animation using the GSAP (Green Sock Animation Platform). SVG animation is actually not so complicated and can be a lot of fun. With the help of GSAP we can do powerful web animations with ease.

icrosoft has released a new series of video tutorials on YouTube for novice programmers to get a hands-on renowned programming language — JavaScript.
This isn’t the first attempt by Microsoft to come up with video tutorials by beginner programmers. The company also has a series of YouTube tutorials on Python for beginners.
For JavaScript, Microsoft has launched a series of 51 videos as ‘Beginner’s Series to JavaScript,’ for young programmers, developers and coders who are interested in building browser applications using JavaScript. These video tutorials will also help programmers and coders to use relevant software development kits (SDKs) and JavaScript frameworks, such as Google’s Angular.
“Learning a new framework or development environment is made even more difficult when you don’t know the programming language,” stated on the Microsoft Developer channel on YouTube. “Fortunately, we’re here to help! We’ve created this series of videos to focus on the core concepts of JavaScript.”
It further stated — while the tutorials don’t cover every aspect of JavaScript, it indeed will help in building a foundation from which one can continue to grow. By the end of this series, Microsoft claims that the novice programmers will be able to work through tutorials, quick starts, books, and other resources, continuing to grow on their own.

The trend of web animations started with GIF animations and at that time it was the easiest way of implementing animations on the web.
But, the problem with GIF is that it doesn’t have variable transparency and doesn’t support an alpha channel. Therefore, all pixels are either fully opaque or completely transparent.
After the GIFs, came Flash web animations which brought new capabilities, like animations with sound and interactivity.
But there is a downside to this approach as well.
1.) This approach requires a flash plugin installed on the browser to run.
2.) It doesn’t run well on mobile devices.
Today, we have different needs for web animations. The animation should be smooth, light, interactive, and ought to work on all devices.
For that, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and SVG (scalable graphics) seem to be the best solution (for web animation). Using these modern web technologies and languages will help tackle most, but not all, of the above problems.
Web animation can engage and hold people’s attention longer than a static web page and help communicate an idea or concept more clearly and effectively. Excellent web animation conveys a story behind every bit of movement. It’s all about bringing animation to life with meaning and “soul”.
Web animation should be smooth, meaningful, and support the visitor’s journey. The web designer/animator needs to be aware of how the animation fits into the user experience, try to predict likely user flows, and then support it in a meaningful way.
This blog is for all those UI developers who saw those elegant and cool SVG/UI animations online and wondered– what is this crazy shit? How can I implement this in my code?
Well, don’t worry, this article will help you with that.
