Tic-Tac-Toe is a simple classic famous game which is played mostly by kids. The java tic tac toe game also helps to improve the concentration of the kids.

The objective of this tic-tac-toe game java project is to build a tic-tac-toe game so anyone can play it without wasting paper. The Tic-Tac-Toe game is also called the X and O game. The player who succeeds in placing their marks in a diagonal, horizontal, or vertical row is the winner.

Java Tic Tac Toe – Project Details

The interesting java project will be build using the AWT and Swings libraries. We will be explaining all the steps as well as methods that are used in this project. Swings is a popular java library that is used to develop beautiful GUI applications.

Tic Tac Toe Project Prerequisites:

IDE Used: NetBeans 11.2.
Java should be installed on the machine.
To build a tic-tac-toe game using java we require basic knowledge of java.
Abstract Window Toolkit (AWT) & Swing packages are standard graphical user interfaces used to render graphics. By default, these packages are installed by java.

How to Write an Unbeatable Tic-Tac-Toe in JavaScript

Writing small puzzle games is a nice way of improving your programming skills as those games tend to present you with challenge after challenge and force you to really put tremendous thought into writing your code.

One such game is the classic Tic-Tac-Toe.

In this little walk-through (read long and descriptive) about writing an unbeatable tic-tac-toe, I will be using Vanilla JavaScript for logic and HTML/CSS for UI. I won’t be concentrating much on UI part of it, because, duh!

Another little disclaimer — we will be concentrating on logic primarily and code will come second to that. Again, if you want to skip the “walk-through” and jump right to the code, I have a public repository on GitHub at https://github.com/FaisalST32/tic-tac-toe. I also have a live version of the game available at http://games.faisalrashid.xyz/tictactoe/

So, let’s dive in.

First of all you need to create the UI. Just use simple HTML to create 9 input boxes, or divs even to hold your X’s and O’s. The id’s of these input boxes are important as they will be our reference to the X’s and O’s. To keep it consistent with the positioning of our boxes, I have given the input boxes the id’s “0–0” to “2–2”. To visualize:

0–0 0–1 0–2

1–0 1–1 1–2

2–0 2–1 2–2

This will give us an easy to use 3x3 matrix. You can design your UI whatever way you want. It should simply employ this form of queryable HTML elements.

Here’s a screenshot of my UI. Simple boxes with a little gloss of CSS.

Now, the logic! First of all, whenever a user, or a participant in this case, clicks or taps an empty box, the value of that box should change to either an X or an O, depending upon whose turn it is.

Implementing that is simple. I use a global variable to hold the ‘currentPlayer’. This variable has a value of either X or O. Then I simply write a method to toggle current player, whenever a box is tapped. I call the method changePlayer.

All this is started by tapping a box. So, we need a function to get us started. We write a function that marks the box with X or O and changes player. We call the function onCheckBox. So far, the function checks a box and and then changes player.

With the release of the Internet web browser and Windows 95 in 1995, most trading companies at that time saw innumerable possibilities of instant worldwide information and public sharing of websites to increase their sales. This led to the prospect of eCommerce and worldwide group communications.

The next few years saw a soaring launch of the now-so-famous websites such as Yahoo, Amazon, eBay, Google, and substantially more. In 2004, by the time Facebook was launched, there were more than 50 million websites online.

Then came the era of Google, the ruler of all search engines introducing us to search engine optimization (SEO) and businesses sought their ways to improve their ranks. The world turned more towards mobile web experiences and responsive mobile-friendly web designs became requisite.

Netflix
From a simple idea of renting DVDs online to a multi-billion-dollar business, saying that Netflix has come a long way is an understatement. The idea of Netflix was born when Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph decided to rent DVDs by mail. With 925 titles and a pay-per-rental model, Netflix.com debuts the first DVD rental and sales site with all novel features. It offered unlimited rentals without due dates or monthly rental limitations with a personalized movie recommendation system.

2001-2005

Announcing its initial public offering (IPO) under the NASDAQ ticker NFLX, Netflix reached over 1 million subscribers in the United States by introducing a profile feature in their influential website design along with a free trial allowing members to create lists and rate their favorite movies. The user experience was quite engaging with the categorization of content, recommendations based on history, search engine, and a queue of movies to watch.

2006-2010

They then unleashed streaming and partnering with electronic brands such as blu-ray, Xbox, and set-top boxes so that users can watch series and films straight away. Later in 2010, they also launched their sophisticated website on mobile devices with its iconic red and black themed background.

2011-2015

In 2013, an eye-tracking test revealed that the users didn’t focus on the details of the movie or show in the existing interface and were perplexed with the flow of information. Hence, the professional web designers simply shifted the text from the right side to the top of the screen. With Daredevil, an audio description feature was also launched for the visually impaired ones.

Netflix 2011-2015

2016-2020

These years, Netflix came with a plethora of new features for their modern website design such as AutoPay, snippets of trailers, recommendations categorized by genre, percentage based on user experience, upcoming shows, top 10 lists, etc. These web application features yielded better results in visual hierarchy and flow of information across the website.

With a sleek logo in their iconic red N, timeless black background with a ‘Watch anywhere, Cancel anytime’ the color, the combination, the statement, and the leading ott platform for top video streaming service Netflix has overgrown into a revolutionary lifestyle of Netflix and Chill.
