A (not so perfect) clone of the Eris API wrapper to interface with the Discord API

Notice

This is in no way (in the current state) a complete replacement for Eris. In fact, do NOT bother considering this production ready. This is simply an alternative for those users that want to invest in Deno and still make it so that porting their bot takes minimal effort and developers can be familiar with their prior experiences with Eris.

Also note, that the internal codebase (websocket, rest, and other utilities) have been slightly modified. However, interfacing with this wrapper (methods, classes, and properties), have been make practically the same as Eris (NodeJS)

Installing

You will need Deno 1.4+. Voice support is not supported. However, in the future, you will need a Rust compiler to compile native bindings to support voice features.

Ping Pong Example

import Eris from 'https://deno.land/x/eris';

const bot = new Eris.Client('BOT_TOKEN');

bot.on('ready', () => {
    // When the bot is ready
    console.log('Ready!'); // Log "Ready!"
});

bot.on('messageCreate', (msg: Eris.Message) => {
    // When a message is created
    if (msg.content === '!ping') {
        // If the message content is "!ping"
        bot.createMessage(msg.channel.id, 'Pong!');
        // Send a message in the same channel with "Pong!"
    } else if (msg.content === '!pong') {
        // Otherwise, if the message is "!pong"
        bot.createMessage(msg.channel.id, 'Ping!');
        // Respond with "Ping!"
    }
});

bot.connect(); // Get the bot to connect to Discord
