2.    You-Get

You-Get is a tiny command-line utility to download media contents (videos, audios, images) from the Web, in case there is no other handy way to do it.



The following dependencies are recommended:

Option 1: Install via pip

The official release of you-get is distributed on PyPI, and can be installed easily from a PyPI mirror via the pip package manager. Note that you must use the Python 3 version of pip:

$ pip3 install you-get

Option 2: Install via Antigen (for Zsh users)

Add the following line to your .zshrc:

antigen bundle soimort/you-get

Option 3: Download from GitHub

You may either download the stable (identical with the latest release on PyPI) or the develop (more hotfixes, unstable features) branch of you-get. Unzip it, and put the directory containing the you-get script into your PATH.

Alternatively, run

$ [sudo] python3 setup.py install


$ python3 setup.py install --user

to install you-get to a permanent path.

You can also use the pipenv to install the you-get in the Python virtual environment.

$ pipenv install -e .
$ pipenv run you-get --version
you-get: version 0.4.1555, a tiny downloader that scrapes the web.

Option 4: Git clone

This is the recommended way for all developers, even if you don't often code in Python.

$ git clone git://github.com/soimort/you-get.git

Then put the cloned directory into your PATH, or run ./setup.py install to install you-get to a permanent path.

Option 5: Homebrew (Mac only)

You can install you-get easily via:

$ brew install you-get

Option 6: pkg (FreeBSD only)

feedparser - Parse Atom and RSS feeds in Python.


feedparser can be installed by running pip:

$ pip install feedparser

You can then build HTML pages using a command similar to:

Feedparser has an extensive test suite, powered by tox. To run it, type this:

Wordlists (IMPORTANT)


  • Wordlist is a text file, each line is a path.
  • About extensions, unlike other tools, dirsearch only replaces the %EXT% keyword with extensions from -e flag.
  • For wordlists without %EXT% (like SecLists), -f | --force-extensions switch is required to append extensions to every word in wordlist, as well as the /.
  • To apply your extensions to wordlist entries that have extensions already, use -O | --overwrite-extensions (Note: some extensions are excluded from being overwritted such as .log, .json, .xml, ... or media extensions like .jpg, .png)
  • To use multiple wordlists, you can separate your wordlists with commas. Example: wordlist1.txt,wordlist2.txt.

  • A dict with additional parameters to pass along to the underlying requests library, for example verify=False to ignore SSL errors

6.    cloudscraper

A simple Python module to bypass Cloudflare's anti-bot page (also known as "I'm Under Attack Mode", or IUAM), implemented with Requests. Cloudflare changes their techniques periodically, so I will update this repo frequently.

This can be useful if you wish to scrape or crawl a website protected with Cloudflare. Cloudflare's anti-bot page currently just checks if the client supports Javascript, though they may add additional techniques in the future.

Due to Cloudflare continually changing and hardening their protection page, cloudscraper requires a JavaScript Engine/interpreter to solve Javascript challenges. This allows the script to easily impersonate a regular web browser without explicitly deobfuscating and parsing Cloudflare's Javascript.

For reference, this is the default message Cloudflare uses for these sorts of pages:

Checking your browser before accessing website.com.

This process is automatic. Your browser will redirect to your requested content shortly.

Please allow up to 5 seconds...

Any script using cloudscraper will sleep for ~5 seconds for the first visit to any site with Cloudflare anti-bots enabled, though no delay will occur after the first request.


The simplest way to use cloudscraper is by calling create_scraper().

scraper = cloudscraper.create_scraper()  # returns a CloudScraper instance
# Or: scraper = cloudscraper.CloudScraper()  # CloudScraper inherits from requests.Session

That's it...

Any requests made from this session object to websites protected by Cloudflare anti-bot will be handled automatically. Websites not using Cloudflare will be treated normally. You don't need to configure or call anything further, and you can effectively treat all websites as if they're not protected with anything.

You use cloudscraper exactly the same way you use Requests. cloudScraper works identically to a Requests Session object, just instead of calling requests.get() or requests.post(), you call scraper.get() or scraper.post().

How POST Requests with Python Make Web Scraping Easier

When scraping a website with Python, it’s common to use the

AutoScraper Introduction: Fast and Light Automatic Web Scraper for Python

In the last few years, web scraping has been one of my day to day and frequently needed tasks. I was wondering if I can make it smart and automatic to save lots of time. So I made AutoScraper!

The project code is available on Github.

This project is made for automatic web scraping to make scraping easy. It gets a url or the html content of a web page and a list of sample data which we want to scrape from that page. This data can be text, url or any html tag value of that page. It learns the scraping rules and returns the similar elements. Then you can use this learned object with new urls to get similar content or the exact same element of those new pages!


Install latest version from git repository using pip:
