Music has consistently been something extremely near the heart. It heals; it prevails and helps us to cope up with the situation. In recent years, music streaming has received immense popularity. As technology is improving day by day, now you can stream music, movies, and TV shows from practically any online service. Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal and a whole host of other streaming services all allow you to listen to an endless supply of new tracks.

Amazon Music Unlimited costs $8.99 per month, but Prime subscribers are eligible for a free 30-day trial. Both services offer streaming music, in the same way, and in roughly the same quality, as your local radio station. But Spotify is more versatile because it offers podcasts and audiobooks, as well as music.  On the other hand, Amazon Music Unlimited ensure you unlimited access to streaming music and access to various types of numerous songs from the Prime Music library.

So, which service is right for you?


Spotify is the original and most versatile music streaming service. It offers millions of songs and podcasts, as well as audio books. It also offers music of high quality, up to 1080p. Trying out Spotify is easier than it used to be. You don't need to download it, and you can listen to it through a web browser. You don't need to pursue anything. You can hear any song that you like for any duration you want. But, of course, Spotify isn't free. There's a catch. They ask you to pay $9 a month, and that's a lot. If $9 a month is a little much for you, you can try the free version for seven days. You don't need to pay anything to attempt Spotify. See what occurs on the off chance that you like it.

And if you don't prefer it, you can dismiss it. It won't cost you anything. You don't even need a credit card to sign up. You can just enter your email address. Spotify is an experiment which you can definitely try out for fun, and it is free too. For the best experience, though, you'll want to use a Mac or PC with a dedicated, high-quality sound card and speakers. Spotify recommends a 5.1 setup for stereo music and 7.1 for surround.

Mac users can try out Spotify for free with a two-week trial. If you don't cancel, however, you'll have to pay $9.99 a month for premium access. On a computer, Spotify is a quite painless piece of software—it's just a browser tab. After you've opened your Spotify app, just click the music icon in the menu bar and stream away.

What is stateful stream processing?

In general, stateful stream processing is an application design pattern for processing an unbounded stream of events. Stateful stream processing means a** “State”** is shared between events(stream entities). And therefore past events can influence the way the current events are processed.

Let’s try to understand it with a real-world scenario. Suppose we have a system that is responsible for generating a report. It comprising the total number of vehicles passed from a toll Plaza per hour/day. To achieve it, we will save the count of the vehicles passed from the toll plaza within one hour. That count will be used to accumulate it with the further next hour’s count to find the total number of vehicles passed from toll Plaza within 24 hours. Here we are saving or storing a count and it is nothing but the “State” of the application.

Might be it seems very simple, but in a distributed system it is very hard to achieve stateful stream processing. Stateful stream processing is much more difficult to scale up because we need different workers to share the state.
