Using CoinGecko Like A Pro | A Guide to CoinGecko For Beginner's

In this post, you'll learn What is CoinGecko, Using CoinGecko Like A Pro | A Guide to CoinGecko For Beginner's

1. What is CoinGecko?

CoinGecko is an independent cryptocurrency data aggregator that tracks over 9,000 cryptos, including ADA, TFUEL, FLOW, HEX and more, across hundreds of exchanges worldwide. The service offers the perfect way for you to decide when to trade your cryptos and what for. CoinGecko is not a trading platform in and of itself, instead, it provides charts and information on everything crypto, so you can compare exchanges, discover NFTs, track your portfolio and much more.

How Does It Work?

CoinGecko could be your best friend when trading cryptocurrencies like Polkadot (DOT), Pundi X (NPXS), PancakeSwap (CAKE) and Refinable (FINE). Its platform boasts many unique features that are easy to navigate and make comparing cryptos simple. The filters allow users to class assets by criteria that are important to them, making the user experience totally customisable. Your viewing options can be sorted by the last hour, day, week or month, so the CoinGecko services can be used for scalpers, day traders and hoarders alike.

The company’s most popular feature falls under the ‘markets’ tab and consists of a list of cryptocurrency pairs and the exchanges offering them, alongside a wealth of other useful details like market cap and volume. This makes tracking down profitable opportunities and exploring new markets a doddle.

CoinGecko also offers a spread of general information news about each asset, whether big like Shiba Inu and Hex or smaller like Sushi and Reef, covering its technology, market analysis, domination index and many more critical insights.

The platform provides information that is critical when deciding which cryptocurrencies are on the rise. For example, a trading volume to market capitalization ratio, as well as a portfolio tracker and social network activities broadcasting the latest crypto news, Onchain indicators, recently added coins and ICOs and candlestick charts that can be converted from TradingView.

CoinGecko has embedded widgets, an app, a news feed, market cap data, multiple hyperlinks and google sheets into the site, ensuring the accessibility of the website to all levels of traders. In addition to this, the company’s market-leading APIs help to ensure its services are constantly being advanced.

Why Use CoinGecko?

CoinGecko is a trusted name in the industry, regarded as a leading source for tracking the crypto world. The platform is preferred by leaders in the industry, including Trust Wallet, Etherscan, Trezor, Metamask and hundreds of other crypto platforms.

The independent nature of CoinGecko ensures it remains a reliable source of information as the firm provides unbiased, live market data without any incentive to prefer one crypto over another.

The app is available on iOS and Android and offers the perfect way to track the profitability of your trades on the go. It allows you to keep the whole crypto market in your pocket. With over 1.7 thousand reviews on the Apple App Store and averaging a 4.8-star rating, the app is well received by its users.

CoinGecko’s prices are very low, catering to all levels of traders. If you trade casually or are new to the market, the free account will provide more than enough information to help you refine your trading. More seasoned clients may find it useful to purchase the premium or premium plus accounts for their added rewards and services, though these are still competitively priced.

CoinGecko also rewards its users, both free and paid, with “candies” for logging in each day. These candies can be collected and then used to purchase a range of items. These include the company’s “How to DeFi” book, discount vouchers and several NFT options.

CoinGecko offers several accounts to support traders of any level.

2. CoinGecko’s Portfolio Tracker

One of the best features of CoinGecko is the portfolio tracker; here are the main reasons for giving it a shot:

  • Due to the sheer quantity of tokens that are found in the database, rarely, if ever, will you try to find a token that can’t be found. For this reason, the CoinGecko portfolio tracker is one of the best options available today.
  • Unlike many portfolio trackers, CoinGecko’s is web-based, so accessing your portfolio can be accomplished from any device with an internet connection. This means you won’t have to download the app, but you can download the native app to your devices.
  • It’s completely free to use.
  • There are no annoying ads to deal with.

Setting Up Your Portfolio Tracker

  1. Click the second icon circled in red at the upper-right corner.

2. You’ll see a drop-down menu that includes Portfolio, Price Alert, Login & Security, and Sign Out. Click Portfolio.

3. Type in the token’s abbreviation or full name. In this example, we will search for the Swapfolio token (SWFL).

4. Click the token from the list of results that are displayed.

5. You can see that Swapfolio has been added to the portfolio.

6. To start tracking your portfolio, you must click the plus symbol circled in red.

7. Enter the price paid for each token, the number of tokens you hold, and the date the transaction was made.

8. In this example, we will assume we have just bought 10,000 SWFL tokens. All that is needed is to enter the number of tokens and the rest will be automatically calculated. If you are trying to enter a transaction that wasn’t recently made, you will manually have to enter these fields as only the most current prices and dates are automatically entered.

9. You have now successfully added one of your cryptos to the portfolio tracker, now you need to repeat this process for every other token you own.

Understanding the Portfolio Overview

  • The red box indicates your token’s total value and quantity, click it to edit/view your transaction history.
  • The yellow box indicates your overall holdings and relevant stats.
  • The green box indicates filters you can click to sort your holdings by coin rank, name, price, multiple timeframes, market cap, or simply by holdings.
  • The blue circle indicates the watchlist button; click it to add it to your watchlist. More on this later.

Upon clicking this button, you will see many other options to select. For example, if you change USD to BTC, your portfolio, and any other asset you view will have the value amounts shown in satoshis and not dollars.

Tip: Always keep records of all transactions for tax purposes. All portfolio trackers will automatically enter the CURRENT price of a token and not the actual price you paid at the time of purchase.

It is highly recommended that you log all transactions at the purchase time to avoid being forgetful and entering inaccurate purchase prices for your transactions.

Failure to report gains made in crypto can result in steep fines and penalties – and possibly jail time. ALWAYS speak to a tax professional for help and use mobile apps like Delta, CoinStats, or Blockfolio to keep excellent records.

Download the App

If you want the app to avoid having to open your browser to use CoinGecko, find the appropriate OS, and install the correct version.

Using the Search Box

There are a few ways for you to find the data for a particular token, asset, or exchange but using the search box is by far the easiest and the fastest method.

Search for Assets/Exchanges

Looking up a token or an exchange is done in the same way.

Method #1: By entering the token/exchange name in the search box, then clicking the desired search result.

Method #2:

Step 1: Click ‘Markets‘.

Step 2: Click ‘Exchanges‘.

Search For Trending Tokens

Trending tokens can be profitable to buy – IF you do the research, enter the position at a reasonable entry point, have the patience to hold them through bearish trends – while managing risk.

These lists can be used to find potential investments by taking note of the asset when performing well or poorly, then adding the asset to your dashboard – waiting for the best possible discount. A little bit of patience goes a long way.

There are three ways to find trending tokens:

Method #1: Click the search box, which will instantly bring up a drop-down menu for you to see the list of trending coins.

Method #2:

Step 1: Click ‘Markets‘.

Step 2: Upon clicking ‘Markets‘, a pop-up menu will appear, click ‘Discover‘.

The ‘Discover’ page will list five types of trending tokens:

Trending Search

These are tokens that are searched the most via the search box.

Most Voted Coins

These are tokens that are voted on the most. Votes can be cast by clicking either the thumbs up or down symbols located on the token page.

Positive Sentiment

These are tokens that are up-voted on the most. Up-votes can be cast by clicking the yellow thumb symbol.

Recently Added

These are tokens that have just recently been added to the database.

Most Visited

These are tokens that have had the most page visits for any given tokens.

Method #3:

Step 1: Click ‘Markets‘.

Step 2: Upon clicking ‘ Market,’ a pop-up menu will appear. Click ‘Large Movers‘.

This page will display the biggest gainers and losers. The default filter is set for a 24-hour time frame with values shown in USD. These settings can be adjusted by clicking the two green buttons located at the top of the page.

Trending DeFi Tokens

The ‘DeFi’ page is packed with general stats are located at the top of the page, which can be filtered by different time frames.

A list of the top-100 DeFi tokens is located at the bottom of the page. It can also be filtered to find the desired results.

Step 1: Click ‘DeFi‘.

Step 2: Scroll down towards the bottom for the list.

Step 3: Click the buttons highlighted in red to filter the data.

Step 4: Click the star in green to add the token to your portfolio tracker/dashboard.

Using Filters

Filters can be used whenever you see the row shown below, located at the top of all lists. Click any of the white buttons to select it, then click it again to reorder the list in reverse order. Let’s review what each of these filters means.

Coin: Filter the list by the name of the token by clicking on Coin.

Price: Filter the list by the cost of the token by clicking on Price.

1h: Filter the list by the token’s performance in the past hour by clicking on 1h.

24h: Filter the list by the token’s performance in the past 24 hours by clicking on 24h.

7d: Filter the list by the token’s performance in the past week by clicking on 7d.

Market Capitalization: Market capitalization is a simple way of finding out how big an asset is, and it can help you make smarter investment decisions.

Fully Diluted Marketcap: A fully diluted market capitalization is what its market cap would be if all options were exercised and all convertible assets were exchanged for the asset.

WARNING: It is ill-advised to automatically jump on trending coins without doing some basic charting and putting in the research.

Charting for support and resistance levels to find optimal entry/exit points for your positions is the prudent thing to do.

Tip: To learn about charting, Investopedia is an excellent resource for both the experienced and inexperienced speculator/investor.

The Dashboard

The dashboard is a convenient way to track potential investments due to the compact layout of the dashboard. Allowing for multiple tokens to be viewed simply by scrolling down. The dashboard is an underestimated feature that most sites similar to CMC have failed to deliver.

  1. Click the bookmark symbol located in the upper-right corner of the page.

2. Click “Add your first coin” to begin adding tokens.

3. Type in the token abbreviation or full name you are looking for, then click the result you desire.

4. You’ve successfully added the Swapfolio token to your dashboard.

5. All that’s left is for you to add all the other tokens you wish to track.

Tip: You can rearrange the token windows by clicking the white arrows in the upper-right corner of each token window, then dragging the window to the desired location.

How to Change the Value Amounts Displayed

You can always change the dollar value of any asset or portfolio to BTC, ETH, among many other fiat currencies/other cryptocurrencies by clicking the USD button highlighted in red (located at the very top of the page).

Upon clicking the default currency, a pop-up menu will appear. You can choose from a wide range of fiat currencies or cryptocurrency to change the value amounts to.

Check Gas Prices

Gas prices should always be checked before making any kind of transaction on the Ethereum blockchain. Failure to do so can result in wasted gas that results in a failed transaction (tx), txs that get stuck (sometimes for hours, or even days), and allowing for multiple txs to get backed up. This can result in you missing out on optimal opportunities due to Metamask having multiple txs stuck in the queue.

You can hover the cursor over this area to see the recommended prices to achieve your objective. You’ll see the prices for you to send at fast, standard, and safe speeds.

Check Bitcoin Dominance

Bitcoin dominance is a metric that can help you decide on how much of your capital you should allocate to altcoins.

For example, imagine that the total market cap of all cryptocurrencies currently stands at $100 billion. If Bitcoin’s market cap represented $60 billion of this, Bitcoin’s dominance would stand at 60%.

It is also arguably the most accurate measuring tool when comparing the price performances of Bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies. As Bitcoin dominance drops, the probability for alt-season (altcoin season) increases.

Token Page Layout

The first step to considering any token for investing purposes is to do your due diligence. This includes reading the whitepaper, researching the team, the code, road-maps, social media accounts, liquidity, among many other fundamental factors.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is screely-1609125579809-844x1024.png

By clicking a token’s link, the full details of the token selected will appear.

In order to accomplish this, you’ll need to understand the data on the token page. This page is loaded with critical data and resources that you will have to familiarize yourself with in order to make the most informed decisions possible.

Subsets of the page are divided into sections to identify and locate the the buttons/filters quickly.

Scroll down to the bottom to see the exchanges that list the token you’re researching.

Let’s review the screenshot of the SWFL token page, one by one. We’ll also cover some basics on the application and the reasoning behind using certain features.

Section 1

Add a Token to Your Portfolio/Dashboard

Click the white star on the token page of the desired asset to add it to your portfolio tracker/dashboard for a convenient way to keep track of all your current and potential investments.

Change Value Amounts

On any exchange or token page, to change the value amounts from USD to another fiat/crypto, click ‘USD,’ in green to the option of your choice.

Price Alerts

Another feature you should take note of is the price alerts. Set an alert, so you don’t miss a good discount or so that you know when your token starts to pump.

In the image below, the token alert is set for $0.10. When the SWFL token reaches $0.10, an alert will go off notifying you of the change in price. You can select different fiat currencies or cryptocurrencies to trigger the alert.

By clicking the ‘Recurring‘ tab, this alert will continue to go off any time that threshold of $0.10 is triggered – from lower to higher prices or higher to lower prices.

In the following section, you’ll find informational websites, social media accounts, the explorer type, token addresses, among other relevant information:

Market Cap

The Swapfolio token is ranked #916 out of 6,075 tokens at the time of writing based on the data.

Website

The project’s homepage is where you’ll find the data needed to research the token. Whitepapers, road-maps, the team behind the project, tokenomics, & partnerships are easily found here.

This is where your research should begin. Solid fundamentals, a competent team, and a real use-case should give you a good gauge of how risky/profitable the situation is.

Explorers

You can access the links next to Explorers to inspect the details of a particular token address. Suppose you ever wanted to know the number of addresses in existence, social profiles of the token, the exchanges the token is listed on, the liquidity of the token, or wanted to see the latest transactions taking place. In that case, this is where to find all of it.

There are several different explorers but they all do things similarly. Ethplorer offers an excellent price chart but lacks much of the data provided on Etherscan. Try using a few and comparing them.

Afterward, you can choose to use your favorite by copying the token address and pasting it in the search box of the explorer you prefer.

Contract

Contract‘ refers to the token contract address, which is probably the most used feature on CoinGecko, and for a good reason. Scammers promoting fake contract addresses is a standard method for bad-actors to part you from your hard-earned money.

Locate Token Addresses

Don’t be fooled; always look up a potential token, pull up the token page, and copy the token address by clicking the two white document symbols.

From there, you can choose to paste the address on a DEX like Uniswap to locate/purchase it, or you could analyze the address and dig up even more data

Tip: Checking to see when liquidity was added (and how much, and when) along with checking to see if any was removed, could literally save you from lighting your money on fire.

Community

These links are all the social media accounts for the token you’re researching. These can be used to gauge engagement levels, updates, promos, news, follower counts, how frequently the account is posting, etc.

Tags

The token category you’re researching is labeled with tags and can be used to find similar tokens you might also be interested in.

Historical Data

Historical data is where you can find the historical records of the price of the token.

To locate it, go to the token page. You’ll find the tab above the green bar.

Filter the data by the time frames shown or type in the range of dates manually.

News

Read up on the latest general crypto news.

Click ‘News‘ to bring up the pop-up menu.

Click ‘News‘ again.

Compare

This feature is essential when deciding between a few tokens, easily compare up to five potential investments simultaneously.

Click ‘Tools‘, then ‘Compare‘.

Reports

These in-depth reports are packed with valuable and insightful infographics on the market, coins, exchanges, highlights, Bitcoin, DeFi, and volume. These reports are available in several languages.

Click ‘Resources‘.

Click ‘Reports‘.

Glossary

Use the glossary to look up technical terms that you’re unsure of.

How to start an electric scooter facility/fleet in a university campus/IT park

Are you leading an organization that has a large campus, e.g., a large university? You are probably thinking of introducing an electric scooter/bicycle fleet on the campus, and why wouldn’t you?

Introducing micro-mobility in your campus with the help of such a fleet would help the people on the campus significantly. People would save money since they don’t need to use a car for a short distance. Your campus will see a drastic reduction in congestion, moreover, its carbon footprint will reduce.

Micro-mobility is relatively new though and you would need help. You would need to select an appropriate fleet of vehicles. The people on your campus would need to find electric scooters or electric bikes for commuting, and you need to provide a solution for this.

To be more specific, you need a short-term electric bike rental app. With such an app, you will be able to easily offer micro-mobility to the people on the campus. We at Devathon have built Autorent exactly for this.

What does Autorent do and how can it help you? How does it enable you to introduce micro-mobility on your campus? We explain these in this article, however, we will touch upon a few basics first.

Micro-mobility: What it is

micro-mobility

You are probably thinking about micro-mobility relatively recently, aren’t you? A few relevant insights about it could help you to better appreciate its importance.

Micro-mobility is a new trend in transportation, and it uses vehicles that are considerably smaller than cars. Electric scooters (e-scooters) and electric bikes (e-bikes) are the most popular forms of micro-mobility, however, there are also e-unicycles and e-skateboards.

You might have already seen e-scooters, which are kick scooters that come with a motor. Thanks to its motor, an e-scooter can achieve a speed of up to 20 km/h. On the other hand, e-bikes are popular in China and Japan, and they come with a motor, and you can reach a speed of 40 km/h.

You obviously can’t use these vehicles for very long commutes, however, what if you need to travel a short distance? Even if you have a reasonable public transport facility in the city, it might not cover the route you need to take. Take the example of a large university campus. Such a campus is often at a considerable distance from the central business district of the city where it’s located. While public transport facilities may serve the central business district, they wouldn’t serve this large campus. Currently, many people drive their cars even for short distances.

As you know, that brings its own set of challenges. Vehicular traffic adds significantly to pollution, moreover, finding a parking spot can be hard in crowded urban districts.

Well, you can reduce your carbon footprint if you use an electric car. However, electric cars are still new, and many countries are still building the necessary infrastructure for them. Your large campus might not have the necessary infrastructure for them either. Presently, electric cars don’t represent a viable option in most geographies.

As a result, you need to buy and maintain a car even if your commute is short. In addition to dealing with parking problems, you need to spend significantly on your car.

All of these factors have combined to make people sit up and think seriously about cars. Many people are now seriously considering whether a car is really the best option even if they have to commute only a short distance.

This is where micro-mobility enters the picture. When you commute a short distance regularly, e-scooters or e-bikes are viable options. You limit your carbon footprints and you cut costs!

Businesses have seen this shift in thinking, and e-scooter companies like Lime and Bird have entered this field in a big way. They let you rent e-scooters by the minute. On the other hand, start-ups like Jump and Lyft have entered the e-bike market.

Think of your campus now! The people there might need to travel short distances within the campus, and e-scooters can really help them.

How micro-mobility can benefit you

benefits-micromobility

What advantages can you get from micro-mobility? Let’s take a deeper look into this question.

Micro-mobility can offer several advantages to the people on your campus, e.g.:

  • Affordability: Shared e-scooters are cheaper than other mass transportation options. Remember that the people on your campus will use them on a shared basis, and they will pay for their short commutes only. Well, depending on your operating model, you might even let them use shared e-scooters or e-bikes for free!
  • Convenience: Users don’t need to worry about finding parking spots for shared e-scooters since these are small. They can easily travel from point A to point B on your campus with the help of these e-scooters.
  • Environmentally sustainable: Shared e-scooters reduce the carbon footprint, moreover, they decongest the roads. Statistics from the pilot programs in cities like Portland and Denver showimpressive gains around this key aspect.
  • Safety: This one’s obvious, isn’t it? When people on your campus use small e-scooters or e-bikes instead of cars, the problem of overspeeding will disappear. you will see fewer accidents.

Best Electric Bikes and Scooters for Rental Business or Campus Facility

The electric scooter revolution has caught on super-fast taking many cities across the globe by storm. eScooters, a renovated version of old-school scooters now turned into electric vehicles are an environmentally friendly solution to current on-demand commute problems. They work on engines, like cars, enabling short traveling distances without hassle. The result is that these groundbreaking electric machines can now provide faster transport for less — cheaper than Uber and faster than Metro.

Since they are durable, fast, easy to operate and maintain, and are more convenient to park compared to four-wheelers, the eScooters trend has and continues to spike interest as a promising growth area. Several companies and universities are increasingly setting up shop to provide eScooter services realizing a would-be profitable business model and a ready customer base that is university students or residents in need of faster and cheap travel going about their business in school, town, and other surrounding areas.

Electric Scooters Trends and Statistics

In many countries including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, U.K., Germany, France, China, Japan, India, Brazil and Mexico and more, a growing number of eScooter users both locals and tourists can now be seen effortlessly passing lines of drivers stuck in the endless and unmoving traffic.

A recent report by McKinsey revealed that the E-Scooter industry will be worth― $200 billion to $300 billion in the United States, $100 billion to $150 billion in Europe, and $30 billion to $50 billion in China in 2030. The e-Scooter revenue model will also spike and is projected to rise by more than 20% amounting to approximately $5 billion.

And, with a necessity to move people away from high carbon prints, traffic and congestion issues brought about by car-centric transport systems in cities, more and more city planners are developing more bike/scooter lanes and adopting zero-emission plans. This is the force behind the booming electric scooter market and the numbers will only go higher and higher.

Companies that have taken advantage of the growing eScooter trend develop an appthat allows them to provide efficient eScooter services. Such an app enables them to be able to locate bike pick-up and drop points through fully integrated google maps.

List of Best Electric Bikes for Rental Business or Campus Facility 2020:

It’s clear that e scooters will increasingly become more common and the e-scooter business model will continue to grab the attention of manufacturers, investors, entrepreneurs. All this should go ahead with a quest to know what are some of the best electric bikes in the market especially for anyone who would want to get started in the electric bikes/scooters rental business.

CoinGecko Accounts

CoinGecko offers several accounts to support traders of any level.

Free Account

  • Sync your portfolio over multiple devices to help track your holdings
  • Live prices and charts on thousands of cryptos
  • Daily candy rewards

Premium Account – £4.19/month

  • Ad-free on the web platform, mobile app and newsletter

  • Access to exclusive NFTs

Premium Plus Account –  £8.32/month

  • Privat chat function with CoinGecko’s research analysts
  • Early access to new features.
  • Yet more candies

Android Google Play - Apple App Store - Chrome Web Store

Click ‘Learn‘.

Click ‘Glossary‘.

Why Use WordPress? What Can You Do With WordPress?

Can you use WordPress for anything other than blogging? To your surprise, yes. WordPress is more than just a blogging tool, and it has helped thousands of websites and web applications to thrive. The use of WordPress powers around 40% of online projects, and today in our blog, we would visit some amazing uses of WordPress other than blogging.
What Is The Use Of WordPress?

WordPress is the most popular website platform in the world. It is the first choice of businesses that want to set a feature-rich and dynamic Content Management System. So, if you ask what WordPress is used for, the answer is – everything. It is a super-flexible, feature-rich and secure platform that offers everything to build unique websites and applications. Let’s start knowing them:

1. Multiple Websites Under A Single Installation
WordPress Multisite allows you to develop multiple sites from a single WordPress installation. You can download WordPress and start building websites you want to launch under a single server. Literally speaking, you can handle hundreds of sites from one single dashboard, which now needs applause.
It is a highly efficient platform that allows you to easily run several websites under the same login credentials. One of the best things about WordPress is the themes it has to offer. You can simply download them and plugin for various sites and save space on sites without losing their speed.

2. WordPress Social Network
WordPress can be used for high-end projects such as Social Media Network. If you don’t have the money and patience to hire a coder and invest months in building a feature-rich social media site, go for WordPress. It is one of the most amazing uses of WordPress. Its stunning CMS is unbeatable. And you can build sites as good as Facebook or Reddit etc. It can just make the process a lot easier.
To set up a social media network, you would have to download a WordPress Plugin called BuddyPress. It would allow you to connect a community page with ease and would provide all the necessary features of a community or social media. It has direct messaging, activity stream, user groups, extended profiles, and so much more. You just have to download and configure it.
If BuddyPress doesn’t meet all your needs, don’t give up on your dreams. You can try out WP Symposium or PeepSo. There are also several themes you can use to build a social network.

3. Create A Forum For Your Brand’s Community
Communities are very important for your business. They help you stay in constant connection with your users and consumers. And allow you to turn them into a loyal customer base. Meanwhile, there are many good technologies that can be used for building a community page – the good old WordPress is still the best.
It is the best community development technology. If you want to build your online community, you need to consider all the amazing features you get with WordPress. Plugins such as BB Press is an open-source, template-driven PHP/ MySQL forum software. It is very simple and doesn’t hamper the experience of the website.
Other tools such as wpFoRo and Asgaros Forum are equally good for creating a community blog. They are lightweight tools that are easy to manage and integrate with your WordPress site easily. However, there is only one tiny problem; you need to have some technical knowledge to build a WordPress Community blog page.

4. Shortcodes
Since we gave you a problem in the previous section, we would also give you a perfect solution for it. You might not know to code, but you have shortcodes. Shortcodes help you execute functions without having to code. It is an easy way to build an amazing website, add new features, customize plugins easily. They are short lines of code, and rather than memorizing multiple lines; you can have zero technical knowledge and start building a feature-rich website or application.
There are also plugins like Shortcoder, Shortcodes Ultimate, and the Basics available on WordPress that can be used, and you would not even have to remember the shortcodes.

5. Build Online Stores
If you still think about why to use WordPress, use it to build an online store. You can start selling your goods online and start selling. It is an affordable technology that helps you build a feature-rich eCommerce store with WordPress.
WooCommerce is an extension of WordPress and is one of the most used eCommerce solutions. WooCommerce holds a 28% share of the global market and is one of the best ways to set up an online store. It allows you to build user-friendly and professional online stores and has thousands of free and paid extensions. Moreover as an open-source platform, and you don’t have to pay for the license.
Apart from WooCommerce, there are Easy Digital Downloads, iThemes Exchange, Shopify eCommerce plugin, and so much more available.

6. Security Features
WordPress takes security very seriously. It offers tons of external solutions that help you in safeguarding your WordPress site. While there is no way to ensure 100% security, it provides regular updates with security patches and provides several plugins to help with backups, two-factor authorization, and more.
By choosing hosting providers like WP Engine, you can improve the security of the website. It helps in threat detection, manage patching and updates, and internal security audits for the customers, and so much more.
