Javascript String lastIndexOf() is an inbuilt function that returns a position of the last occurrence of a specified value in the string.

Javascript String lastIndexOf() is an inbuilt function that returns a position of the last occurrence of a specified value in the string. The string is searched from an end to the beginning, but returns an index starting at the beginning, at position 0. This method returns -1 if a value to search for never occurs. The lastIndexOf() method is case sensitive!

Javascript String lastIndexOf Example

Javascript String lastIndexOf method returns the index within the calling  String object of the last occurrence of the specified value, searching backward from fromIndex. It returns -1 if a value is not found.
