A "two truths and one lie" game, written in VueJS

😊 😳Two Truths, 🤥 🤭One Lie Game!

🎯Goal

This project is meant to be a fun portfolio piece, which will demonstrate you know some VueJS, and introduce you to future friends and gigs.

🚎Roadmap

  • Improve the logic.
  • Make it visual. There should be cards! And they should flip! And be pretty! (the cards don’t look as terrible, but still not great)
  • Put the data in an external file.
  • Make it possible to play more than one round. (we’re halfway there - still need to re-render the components)
  • Make it a tutorial, because why not.
  • Keep track of points earned over all rounds of play.

📖Background

My tech squad, Cherry on Tech, is working on learning several different technologies. Some of them are looking for jobs, and would like a way to introduce themselves to future friends, colleagues, and bosses. This seemed like a good way to demonstrate a knowledge of a technology, and have some fun in the process! I went first with VueJS, and they will be creating this same game in their chosen technologies, so stay tuned!

🧩Project setup

  • Fork the repository and clone it to your computer. (Learn more about forking and cloning in this Github guide.)
  • If you don’t have VueJS installed on your computer, you might need to do this. Checkout the VueCLI documentation and the VueJS documentation for more information.
  • In the root of the project (right inside the twotruths folder), run the following command:
yarn install

Compiles and hot-reloads for development

To play the project on your local computer, run this command in the terminal:

yarn serve

Compiles and minifies for production

To build the project for production, run this command in the terminal:

yarn build

Lints and fixes files

To lint the project (analyze the code for potential warnings or errors), run this command in the terminal:

yarn lint

🌼Contributing

Sooo I’m not soliciting contributions for the moment - it’s a fun project thing for me and my squad to hack on together. But, you are welcome to fork this repository and make something you enjoy! If you do, let me know how it goes!
