Our planet is a blessing that gave us a beautiful environment to live in but are we doing our part in creating sustainable earth?
For a long time, humanity has used the world as a source of their greed, yet all we are doing for the environment is feeding it harmful poisons. Humans have triggered deforestation, soil erosion, Pollution, and whatnot.
But as we are evolving, the corporate world has started giving more importance to sustainability. Sustainable goods are the future of every industrial sector. From the formation to packaging, these products are made with raw materials which are recyclable and healthy to our planet. Unlike other products, these can be disposed of and replenished in time without releasing chemicals into the environment. These goods have the potential to be game-changers in a world where the environment is placed at risk in order to achieve standards of profits.
A major part of the business world revolves around the beauty industry. The beauty industry is at a pace and is expected to be worth more than $185.5 billion by the end of 2027. Just imagine how this industry alone can contribute to a sustainable environment. This fact creates a need for the uplifting Industry to take a part in the improvement of the environment which some major firms are already working on.
Companies nowadays are giving importance to the protection of nature and so they are trying to produce cosmetics whose packaging is sustainable to the environment. Reputed beauty firms are now adopting the idea of producing nature-friendly goods so that they contribute to a healthy atmosphere as well develop a better image and status among their customers.
Even though many brands call their products ethical to nature, Non- toxic and cruelty-free but still that may not be the case at all. In the U.S, Cosmetics are allowed to be sold without even being given the FDA approval, This gives many brands the power to manipulate their customers. What must a consumer do to achieve environmental sustainability if that is the scenario?
Luxury, as well as rising beauty firms, are now trying to be completely transparent to their customers in order to gain customer faith so that they can increase their sales. Forest essentials, Khadi naturals, and kama Ayurveda are some of the popular names in the Indian beauty industry known for producing locally made and organic cosmetics.
Now the question is, What will customers get by choosing sustainable products?
Sustainability goes way beyond our thoughts so If you think that sustainable cosmetics only help in improving our planet then you're wrong.
Organically made products bring us a healthier life. You'll feel good knowing that your purchases are contributing to a social cause. Sustainability is for the future, so if you're using sustainable products then you're ensuring a better life for the coming generations. Jochen Zietz once said “Sustainability is no longer about doing less harm. It is about doing more good.” Indeed! We are the future of our planet and what we do now leads to what happens in the future. We, humans, have been assaulting our planet in more ways than one can imagine which is why it becomes important for us to think globally and choose productions that contribute to the development of our planet. It is time for us to return what we took from mother earth which gave us life.

The application of technologies that, with their multiplying effect, allow achieving the goals is extremely important.
