NFTs are all the rage in the crypto world. However, they’re currently being sold on a patchwork of marketplaces that operate within their own silos. Additionally, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for emerging talent to have their works noticed among a plethora of established NFT stars.

Blind Boxes curates collections of digital assets from emerging creators, well known brands, and famous NFT creators, and offers them in compelling Blind Boxes. This mystery box framework is similar to collecting packs of trading cards. Buyers know the overall components of a collection. However, the exact NFT that they receive is only revealed once they unbox the purchase.

For digital creators, it’s an opportunity to showcase their work to a broader audience, boosting their reputation and unlocking the potential for higher sales in the future. For collectors, it’s a chance to discover and own rare digital assets — tokenized art and real estate, digital sports memorabilia, music files, and exotic gaming characters, sourced from artists across the globe.

The thrill of unwrapping a gift, eagerly longing to unearth the contents inside is a familiar emotion to all of us. Blind Boxes aims to bring the nostalgia of collecting to the NFT market, while rewarding its users with potentially valuable assets.

What’s in the Box?

Blind Boxes’ gamified platform will host limited edition NFTs. Each virtual unboxing recreates a cherished childhood experience: the thrill of gift unwrapping. In doing so, Blind Boxes infuses the digital world with a sensation more synonymous with the physical.

Whether it’s a Xmas present, football sticker pack, or Pop Mart box, discovering what lies inside a mystery package — be it toy, treat, or ultra-rare trinket — is unforgettable. This is the stuff that memories are made of and the spark for life-long obsessions.

With Blind Boxes, artists can directly engage with their audience and earn from every NFT they create — including resales. Fans, meanwhile, can acquire digital collectibles which they can display, swap, or sell.

NFTs Made Better

NFTs have taken the crypto world by storm and are now sucking the universe into their orbit: sports, art, music, real estate, gaming — it’s all being tokenized and traded, with digital scarcity the arbiter of value. Celebrity stardust + genesis NFTs + ultra-rare content = the stuff that digital dreams are made of.

NFTs are the most exciting vertical in crypto right now — but they’re also one of the most daunting. For beginners craving to acquire the latest must-have crypto collectibles, obtaining NFTs is a fraught process. It calls for an innate ability to appraise digital art, operating in an illiquid market, queueing patiently in line for limited edition packs, and all too often leaving empty-handed. And then there’s the eye-watering prices that the rarest and most exclusive NFTs can fetch, rendering them as little more than status symbols for ETH-rich whales.

Blind Boxes makes digital collectibles accessible to a mainstream audience by lowering the barriers to entry and the price of participation. While the rarest NFTs will still command a premium, much of the work released by creators will be within the reach of regular users, who can acquire the works of emerging and established artists and support their favorite creators.

How It Works

Great art doesn’t come cheap. For creators, every piece, be it a physical canvas, digital render, or audio track, has sunk costs in terms of time, energy, materials, and publication. Blind Boxes provides a way for artists to offset these upfront costs by raising funds before they begin the creative process. This gives them a foundation of support, and guarantees a minimum sales threshold for their work, while rewarding early supporters who can claim a slice of the action.

Using the Blind Boxes marketplace, collectors can purchase and open boxes containing limited edition and rare content, including unique works that are sure to be highly coveted. In addition, the Blind Boxes platform will allow creators to conduct tokenized crowdfunding campaigns in return for assigning their new material to paying supporters.

Using smart contracts, the Blind Boxes protocol will automatically award revenue to artists every time their work is resold while allowing its current owner to claim the bulk of the proceeds. This gives collectors early access to exclusive content and rewards them for their loyalty. What’s more, collectors can earn a passive income from future sales of work they’ve funded.

Additional Benefits for Creators and Collectors

Unlike traditional markets that often operate in an opaque manner, creators of these rare NFTs also have the ability to earn a stream of future passive income through smart contract enabled royalties, every time their work is resold in the secondary market.

Moreover, the Blind Boxes Fund offers additional support to promising creators in the form of grants to facilitate innovation in the dynamic and rapidly evolving NFT space. By ameliorating the financial hurdles often associated with ‘starving artists’, the fund will allow emerging talent to focus on their craft.

Blind Boxes will offer lower price thresholds and will also incorporate a payment gateway to accelerate mainstream adoption of NFTs while providing a boost to crypto rookies embarking on their digital collectible journey.

TOKEN

The governance token of the Blind Boxes platform is $BLES. Token holders have a direct stake in the management of the Blind Boxes DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). Here they have the power to vote on decisions about the development the Blind Boxes platform.

Only 100M $BLES tokens will ever be minted. Users mine $BLES is by participating in the ecosystem. Collectors mine tokens by:

•    opening Blind Boxes

•    acquiring $BLES at centralized and decentralized exchanges

Creators mine tokens by:

•    selling NFTs for $BLES

•    receiving grants from the Blind Box foundation

$BLES, the native token of Blind Boxes is designed to play multiple roles — seeking active participation by creators and collectors alike, as well as encouraging stakeholders to partake in its effective governance, thus creating a robust ecosystem of rare, digital collectibles.

In order to derive maximum benefit for the holders of $BLES, the Blind Boxes team has meticulously studied various token offering use cases in the decentralized finance (DeFi) world. Best practices from various DeFi projects will be incorporated in $BLES, ensuring the vibrancy and enhanced development of this distributed community.

Acquiring a $BLES token

Blind Boxes plans to conduct an initial token sale during which 2% of the total supply of 100 million will be made available to the public through exchanges. This allows the project to unlock the initial liquidity required for the successful launch of the NFT marketplace. Further details on our token sale are available on our social channels and can also be availed by signing up for our newsletter on the Blind Boxes’ website.

Earning a $BLES token

A thriving ecosystem is paramount to the success of Blind Boxes and hence 50% of the entire supply is reserved for the community and will be issued over a period of time. Indeed, the more one engages with the platform, the more opportunities one gets to mint $BLES.

The DAO will enable token holders to shape numerous developments, vote on various proposals and facilitate improvements to the platform as well as its underlying protocol.

Custom Printed Soap Boxes | Wholesale Soap Packaging | Custom Packaging Pro

You have a great quality product in your hand, and now you are thinking of ways to represent it to the customers in a most appealing way. Many brands are afraid of spending money on custom boxes without knowing that it is the most cost-effecting way with various benefits. When designed with proper planning and creativity, custom packaging can result in money. You shouldn’t mind spending a little more to save money in the long run. You may disagree with us, but investment in customization and personalization can open new doors of success for your business.

How Custom Boxes for Soap Are a Cost-Effective Solution?

From our kitchen cabinets to the big supermarkets, custom boxes are everywhere. We are surrounded by customization, even if it is about selling a small cosmetic product. When you deal in the soap market, you have to face a lot of competition. You can’t compete in the market with a strategy of using plain cardboard boxes. Gone are the days when you can use a simple packaging solution. Today is the age of customization, and you have to use custom Boxes for Soap. These are not only affordable but also look good on the shelves and provide an ultimate customer experience. Let’s take a deeper look at how custom packaging is a cost-effective solution with several benefits.

Helps To Reduce Shipping Prices

During this pandemic, the e-commerce industry has grown too fast, and every brand is selling its products online. One thing which is keeping the manufacturer is the high shipping price. But to make the right decision, you need to understand how shipping prices work. It is not only about the weight of the box; consider dimensional weight as well. Even if you are shipping a small item like soap, the box size can increase the shipping cost. So, the firsts step towards price reduction is using the box which is according to the product size and also light in weight.

Maximum Durability Ensures Protection

It is one of the most faced issues which brands face. Damaged and broken products always result in returns which ultimately means additional cost. No brand will ever want to face negative reviews and customer backlash. You can avoid it by using durable and sturdy boxes. When it comes to protection, corrugate and cardboard soap boxers can outclass every other solution. These two materials are quite affordable and readily available in the market. Once again, it is highly recommended to use the right box size to avoid damage and returns. You can also use other packaging materials for added protection.

Increase Your Visibility with Pillow Boxes

When it comes to increasing your visibility and exposure in retail stores, there is no better option other than custom containers. These come in a variety of shapes and styles, which increase the customer’s interest in your product. Custom Pillow Boxes are the right choice to present your soap products on the shelves. You can customize the pillow packaging further with other customization options like window patching, lamination, and gold stamping. Unique solutions always make customers take a closer look at the product, and most probably they will end up buying it.

Right Box Size Help to Save Big

We have mentioned it before, but it needs more repetition. A wrong size box will always cost you more. If you are thinking that you can end up saving by choosing the standard size boxes for all the products, you are wrong. It will cost you more in form of damaged products and returns. Moreover, the bigger will be the size of the box, the more you have to pay for shipping. So, always choose the right size, which suits the product dimensions, and don’t leave too much space in the containers. A bigger size box will also make you use the protective material.

Cardboard And Paperboard Are the Cheapest Options

If you still think that custom boxes are way out of your range, we have still so many options for you. Take a simple corrugate or cardboard box in white or any plain color, print your logo on it, and you have a custom box in your hand. Getting a custom solution for your soap products has never been so easy. Today is the age of minimalism, and you can take advantage of this trend. Use simple customization for a natural and minimal look. Cardboard and corrugated are the most affordable option when it comes to custom material.

Happy Customers Result in Repeat Business and Positive Reviews

When it comes to benefits with custom packaging, there are several benefits that you can get. From product protection to the customer experience, you will get everything with a custom solution. The biggest benefits of providing a personalized experience are repeat business and positive reviews from the customers. When you put your heart and effort into the customization, customers will reward you with positive feedback. A good review from the customers will attract more customers to your business. Satisfied customers will bring business with repeat business and higher brand recall.

Kraft Boxes for Display Improve Sustainability

When it comes to being sustainable, there is no better option than Kraft. Use Kraft packaging boxes to display your products on the shelves. It will attract more and more eco-conscious customers, which will ultimately result in boosted sales. It is not only a cheap option but offers 100% recyclability. The presentation and display of your product have a greater role to play in drawing the attraction. Using the same old-style packaging will not going to help you out. Think of something innovative and try using Kraft boxes for better results. Find a solution that is not unique but meets the customer’s needs.

When it comes to soap packaging, Kraft Boxes for Display are a perfect choice. These are not only cost-efficient but result in customer satisfaction, repeat business, and reduced shipping cost. Find a solution that meets your needs without breaking the budget.

Words Counted: A Ruby Natural Language Processor.

WordsCounted

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

-- Oscar Wilde

WordsCounted is a Ruby NLP (natural language processor). WordsCounted lets you implement powerful tokensation strategies with a very flexible tokeniser class.

Are you using WordsCounted to do something interesting? Please tell me about it.

Demo

Visit this website for one example of what you can do with WordsCounted.

Features

  • Out of the box, get the following data from any string or readable file, or URL:
    • Token count and unique token count
    • Token densities, frequencies, and lengths
    • Char count and average chars per token
    • The longest tokens and their lengths
    • The most frequent tokens and their frequencies.
  • A flexible way to exclude tokens from the tokeniser. You can pass a string, regexp, symbol, lambda, or an array of any combination of those types for powerful tokenisation strategies.
  • Pass your own regexp rules to the tokeniser if you prefer. The default regexp filters special characters but keeps hyphens and apostrophes. It also plays nicely with diacritics (UTF and unicode characters): Bayrūt is treated as ["Bayrūt"] and not ["Bayr", "ū", "t"], for example.
  • Opens and reads files. Pass in a file path or a url instead of a string.

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'words_counted'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install words_counted

Usage

Pass in a string or a file path, and an optional filter and/or regexp.

counter = WordsCounted.count(
  "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
)

# Using a file
counter = WordsCounted.from_file("path/or/url/to/my/file.txt")

.count and .from_file are convenience methods that take an input, tokenise it, and return an instance of WordsCounted::Counter initialized with the tokens. The WordsCounted::Tokeniser and WordsCounted::Counter classes can be used alone, however.

API

WordsCounted

WordsCounted.count(input, options = {})

Tokenises input and initializes a WordsCounted::Counter object with the resulting tokens.

counter = WordsCounted.count("Hello Beirut!")

Accepts two options: exclude and regexp. See Excluding tokens from the analyser and Passing in a custom regexp respectively.

WordsCounted.from_file(path, options = {})

Reads and tokenises a file, and initializes a WordsCounted::Counter object with the resulting tokens.

counter = WordsCounted.from_file("hello_beirut.txt")

Accepts the same options as .count.

Tokeniser

The tokeniser allows you to tokenise text in a variety of ways. You can pass in your own rules for tokenisation, and apply a powerful filter with any combination of rules as long as they can boil down into a lambda.

Out of the box the tokeniser includes only alpha chars. Hyphenated tokens and tokens with apostrophes are considered a single token.

#tokenise([pattern: TOKEN_REGEXP, exclude: nil])

tokeniser = WordsCounted::Tokeniser.new("Hello Beirut!").tokenise

# With `exclude`
tokeniser = WordsCounted::Tokeniser.new("Hello Beirut!").tokenise(exclude: "hello")

# With `pattern`
tokeniser = WordsCounted::Tokeniser.new("I <3 Beirut!").tokenise(pattern: /[a-z]/i)

See Excluding tokens from the analyser and Passing in a custom regexp for more information.

Counter

The WordsCounted::Counter class allows you to collect various statistics from an array of tokens.

#token_count

Returns the token count of a given string.

counter.token_count #=> 15

#token_frequency

Returns a sorted (unstable) two-dimensional array where each element is a token and its frequency. The array is sorted by frequency in descending order.

counter.token_frequency

[
  ["the", 2],
  ["are", 2],
  ["we",  1],
  # ...
  ["all", 1]
]

#most_frequent_tokens

Returns a hash where each key-value pair is a token and its frequency.

counter.most_frequent_tokens

{ "are" => 2, "the" => 2 }

#token_lengths

Returns a sorted (unstable) two-dimentional array where each element contains a token and its length. The array is sorted by length in descending order.

counter.token_lengths

[
  ["looking", 7],
  ["gutter",  6],
  ["stars",   5],
  # ...
  ["in",      2]
]

#longest_tokens

Returns a hash where each key-value pair is a token and its length.

counter.longest_tokens

{ "looking" => 7 }

#token_density([ precision: 2 ])

Returns a sorted (unstable) two-dimentional array where each element contains a token and its density as a float, rounded to a precision of two. The array is sorted by density in descending order. It accepts a precision argument, which must be a float.

counter.token_density

[
  ["are",     0.13],
  ["the",     0.13],
  ["but",     0.07 ],
  # ...
  ["we",      0.07 ]
]

#char_count

Returns the char count of tokens.

counter.char_count #=> 76

#average_chars_per_token([ precision: 2 ])

Returns the average char count per token rounded to two decimal places. Accepts a precision argument which defaults to two. Precision must be a float.

counter.average_chars_per_token #=> 4

#uniq_token_count

Returns the number of unique tokens.

counter.uniq_token_count #=> 13

Excluding tokens from the tokeniser

You can exclude anything you want from the input by passing the exclude option. The exclude option accepts a variety of filters and is extremely flexible.

  1. A space-delimited string. The filter will normalise the string.
  2. A regular expression.
  3. A lambda.
  4. A symbol that names a predicate method. For example :odd?.
  5. An array of any combination of the above.
tokeniser =
  WordsCounted::Tokeniser.new(
    "Magnificent! That was magnificent, Trevor."
  )

# Using a string
tokeniser.tokenise(exclude: "was magnificent")
# => ["that", "trevor"]

# Using a regular expression
tokeniser.tokenise(exclude: /trevor/)
# => ["magnificent", "that", "was", "magnificent"]

# Using a lambda
tokeniser.tokenise(exclude: ->(t) { t.length < 4 })
# => ["magnificent", "that", "magnificent", "trevor"]

# Using symbol
tokeniser = WordsCounted::Tokeniser.new("Hello! محمد")
tokeniser.tokenise(exclude: :ascii_only?)
# => ["محمد"]

# Using an array
tokeniser = WordsCounted::Tokeniser.new(
  "Hello! اسماءنا هي محمد، كارولينا، سامي، وداني"
)
tokeniser.tokenise(
  exclude: [:ascii_only?, /محمد/, ->(t) { t.length > 6}, "و"]
)
# => ["هي", "سامي", "وداني"]

Passing in a custom regexp

The default regexp accounts for letters, hyphenated tokens, and apostrophes. This means twenty-one is treated as one token. So is Mohamad's.

/[\p{Alpha}\-']+/

You can pass your own criteria as a Ruby regular expression to split your string as desired.

For example, if you wanted to include numbers, you can override the regular expression:

counter = WordsCounted.count("Numbers 1, 2, and 3", pattern: /[\p{Alnum}\-']+/)
counter.tokens
#=> ["numbers", "1", "2", "and", "3"]

Opening and reading files

Use the from_file method to open files. from_file accepts the same options as .count. The file path can be a URL.

counter = WordsCounted.from_file("url/or/path/to/file.text")

Gotchas

A hyphen used in leu of an em or en dash will form part of the token. This affects the tokeniser algorithm.

counter = WordsCounted.count("How do you do?-you are well, I see.")
counter.token_frequency

[
  ["do",   2],
  ["how",  1],
  ["you",  1],
  ["-you", 1], # WTF, mate!
  ["are",  1],
  # ...
]

In this example -you and you are separate tokens. Also, the tokeniser does not include numbers by default. Remember that you can pass your own regular expression if the default behaviour does not fit your needs.

A note on case sensitivity

The program will normalise (downcase) all incoming strings for consistency and filters.

WordsCounted: A Ruby Natural Language Processor

WordsCounted

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

-- Oscar Wilde

WordsCounted is a Ruby NLP (natural language processor). WordsCounted lets you implement powerful tokensation strategies with a very flexible tokeniser class.

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install words_counted

Usage

Pass in a string or a file path, and an optional filter and/or regexp.

counter = WordsCounted.count(
  "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
)

# Using a file
counter = WordsCounted.from_file("path/or/url/to/my/file.txt")

.count and .from_file are convenience methods that take an input, tokenise it, and return an instance of WordsCounted::Counter initialized with the tokens. The WordsCounted::Tokeniser and WordsCounted::Counter classes can be used alone, however.

API

WordsCounted

WordsCounted.count(input, options = {})

Tokenises input and initializes a WordsCounted::Counter object with the resulting tokens.

counter = WordsCounted.count("Hello Beirut!")

Accepts two options: exclude and regexp. See Excluding tokens from the analyser and Passing in a custom regexp respectively.

WordsCounted.from_file(path, options = {})

Reads and tokenises a file, and initializes a WordsCounted::Counter object with the resulting tokens.

counter = WordsCounted.from_file("hello_beirut.txt")

#tokenise([pattern: TOKEN_REGEXP, exclude: nil])

tokeniser = WordsCounted::Tokeniser.new("Hello Beirut!").tokenise

# With `exclude`
tokeniser = WordsCounted::Tokeniser.new("Hello Beirut!").tokenise(exclude: "hello")

# With `pattern`
tokeniser = WordsCounted::Tokeniser.new("I <3 Beirut!").tokenise(pattern: /[a-z]/i)

See Excluding tokens from the analyser and Passing in a custom regexp for more information.

Counter

The WordsCounted::Counter class allows you to collect various statistics from an array of tokens.

#token_count

Returns the token count of a given string.

counter.token_count #=> 15

#token_frequency

Returns a sorted (unstable) two-dimensional array where each element is a token and its frequency. The array is sorted by frequency in descending order.

counter.token_frequency

[
  ["the", 2],
  ["are", 2],
  ["we",  1],
  # ...
  ["all", 1]
]

#most_frequent_tokens

Returns a hash where each key-value pair is a token and its frequency.

counter.most_frequent_tokens

{ "are" => 2, "the" => 2 }

#token_lengths

Returns a sorted (unstable) two-dimentional array where each element contains a token and its length. The array is sorted by length in descending order.

counter.token_lengths

[
  ["looking", 7],
  ["gutter",  6],
  ["stars",   5],
  # ...
  ["in",      2]
]

#longest_tokens

Returns a hash where each key-value pair is a token and its length.

counter.longest_tokens

{ "looking" => 7 }

#token_density([ precision: 2 ])

Returns a sorted (unstable) two-dimentional array where each element contains a token and its density as a float, rounded to a precision of two. The array is sorted by density in descending order. It accepts a precision argument, which must be a float.

counter.token_density

[
  ["are",     0.13],
  ["the",     0.13],
  ["but",     0.07 ],
  # ...
  ["we",      0.07 ]
]

#char_count

Returns the char count of tokens.

counter.char_count #=> 76

#average_chars_per_token([ precision: 2 ])

Returns the average char count per token rounded to two decimal places. Accepts a precision argument which defaults to two. Precision must be a float.

counter.average_chars_per_token #=> 4

#uniq_token_count

Returns the number of unique tokens.

counter.uniq_token_count #=> 13
