.Net program run slower on one disk partition than another

A C#.Net desktop application which I wrote executes slower when I run it from windows D partition. However, when I move the application to other partitions, it is fine and faster. Can you help me to find why I am seeing this behavior?

A C#.Net desktop application which I wrote executes slower when I run it from windows D partition. However, when I move the application to other partitions, it is fine and faster. Can you help me to find why I am seeing this behavior?

The desktop application is a CPU-intensive exe (written in c#) which invokes C++(CLR) dll.

Could anybody give me some idea?
