Red Hat announced new capabilities for Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. New features to Red Hat OpenShift include an update to OpenShift Serverlesswith Red Hat OpenShift Serverless 1.11, which brings full support for Knative eventing; a Red Hat build of Quarkus, new edge computing features, and key capabilities for public sector Kubernetes deployments including availability on AWS GovCloud and Azure Government Cloud, extended OpenSCAP support, and more. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.3 introduces edge-focused updates to Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including rapid creation of operating system images for the edge through the Image Builder capability, remote device update mirroring to stage and apply updates at the next device reboot or power cycle, over-the-air updates that transfer less data while still pushing necessary code, and intelligent rollbacks built on OSTree capabilities.
