First things first, this is my first Medium post so I don’t claim to be an expert in any of these languages everything I say is only bias to open source technologies ✌

How I came to actually starting this project was entirely by accident and probably worth its own post but I will keep this one focused on Rust and WebAssembly and how well they can work with JavaScript.

As per the WASM docs:

WebAssembly is a binary instruction format for a stack-based virtual machine. Wasm is designed as a portable compilation target for programming languages, enabling deployment on the web for client and server applications.

In December last year, following HTML, CSS and JavaScript, WebAssembly became the 4th official language for modern web browsers.
