As a product manager in the era of artificial intelligence (AI), I was challenged to analyze product reviews of a Mozilla privacy browser, Focus, in one of my courses. Back in the days, I had a Customer Service team of three to go through negative feedback and show weekly report. So, I wonder how computers can outperform them.

To prove my point that product managers don’t require a technical background, I’ll cover how I got the result through a 3rd party SaaS platforms and NLTK.

Frankly speaking, Appbot is a good enough for my course report purpose. It provides 14-day trail with a work email address and has great semantic analysis such as attitudes, trending, and criticality. It also allows filter by language, app versions, and topics. Although some word clouds still don’t make sense to human audiences and functionalities for cross-platform analysis are still limited, I believe it will be a powerful tool for product managers in the future!
