In this tutorial, I am going to cover how we can access historical stock data such as open/close prices, volume in Google Sheets using the GOOGLEFINANCE function.

Google Sheets has a built-in function called GOOGLEFINANCE which fetches current or historical securities information from Google Finance platform. Instead of paying $15 to $20 for a 3rd party subscription service to access different finance data, Google Sheets’s GOOGLEFINANCE function makes the information available for FREE.
