DNA Databases Hacked

American genealogy site GEDmatch was hacked, allowing police to access records they should not have had access to. Two days later, Israel based genealogy company MyHeritage was hacked via a phishing attack, made possible by targeting email addresses obtained in the first attack on GEDmatch, just two days before. BUZZFEED
