Many a time I hear fabled tales of the great quest that is Unit testing. I hear developers say “Unit testing is this…… And Unit testing is that……”

I even once heard that 200 fully armed developers took on this quest centuries ago and not one returned. I then sit and ask my humble self “what is this term they speak of?, just give me my salary please”. Armed with google and a pdf book, I set out into the dark cave of testing with no clue whether I would return or not with these words echoing in my mind “If I perish I perish”.

Before I tell you what I discovered in the cave, you might want to know what exactly unit testing is 🧐. My definition of unit testing before my quest goes thus:

“Unit testing is a term created by evil developers to get you to spend more hours on code that works writing unnecessary jargons while taking away your Netflix and gaming time.”
