Regarding the colliding points question. I think it assumes that you know some high school level math (or physics, as it can be solved with kinematic equations). If you don’t the problem will be difficult, since you lack the mathematical framework needed to reason about the problem. I agree with your assessment that the kata should be higher than 7 kyu. While people with some degree of mathematical fluency may find 7 kyu fitting, the before mentioned will skew the kyu rating downwards. I suspect 5 kyu to be a good compromise, as I do not think
