After two separate incidents in a single week, I became sure it was high time I had insight inside our app. Monitoring and logging were no longer an option but a must. And since we were already on AWS, I decided to use AWS CloudWatch. I still had to choose a logger, I went with Winston since it’s very popular (>3M downloads per week on NPM + >13K stars on GitHub) and maintained.
