MongoDB Atlas is a great tool for creating distributed MongoDB clusters without having to deal with all of the provisioning steps. As clusters are built, they consume credits, and it’s all too easy to forget to shutdown a cluster and/or to lose sight of how much you’re actually spending.

This talk will address both of those points by leveraging the MongoDB Atlas API’s to provide a MongoDB Charts dashboard showing the historic spend across all clusters as well as providing a tool for managing the lifecycle of these clusters, e.g. automatically pausing dev clusters at night or at weekends.
