I’ve tried a few different headless CMS, and my favorite so far has been Sanity. They have a generous free tier, and you can get have it set up in just a few steps. In this article, I want to introduce you to Sanity and help you set up your first Sanity Studio.

According to their website,

“Sanity Studio is an open-source single page application built with React.js. You define your content models with simple JavaScript. You can also extend it with your own React.js components. The Studio comes with advanced features that lets you tailor workflows for your editors. You can also install and make plugins for Sanity Studio and publish them on npm.”

I have recently been having fun learning about JAMstack. If you are not familiar with JAMstack sites, have a look at the two websites below. They can give you a good understanding of what they are and why we should be using them.

JAMstack sites can be controlled by a content management system(CMS). Typically, these are known as headless CMS. If you’d like to learn more about what a headless CMS is, here is a 2-minute video to get you up to speed.
