Framework fatigue is real. From JQuery to Backbone to Angular JS to Angular 2+ to React, things move fast. You’ve learned React. You’re writing big, interactive sites using components, just minding your own, and BAM!, you hear there is a new way to write components using something called Hooks. You’ve glanced at docs and WOW does it look different. Well, never fear, this talk will give you the footing you need to get up and running with Hooks and will show you all the benefits you’ll have with the new set of APIs. Together, we will refactor portions of a small application using Hooks all while explaining what the benefits of the new APIs are and what they are replacing.
