Science says that data scientist is the highest paying job for the future. Since college times, I was interested in python and data science techniques. But, In life, things don’t go as per your expectations all the time. I got placed in a Multi-National Company. I was happy at that time that I got placed in a company. With the hope that I will be utilizing in the data science field, I joined the company. We usually feel happy when we got a job. But, In my mind, I was hoping for more that of working in the data science field. And, Finally, The day came when they tagged me to a project.

I got to know that I will work as a support IT person who will support different applications. Ah! So, now I will have to work on IT support tasks, but what about my passion and goals of becoming a successful data scientist. In the beginning, I was numb as my team was forcing me to learn support tasks, and I was trying to focus on data science stuff. In this way, They assigned me to another support project because I wasn’t giving my best in that project.

Then, I realized that I need to focus on both the side, my current position as a support engineer, and the data science journey. That was not easy as after Nine to Five jobs, and for five days a week, you don’t find time for your self-improvement. Here begins my journey of managing the time and finding ways to learn data science techniques while enjoying my current support IT work. Because This was my first job, and I don’t want to ruin this experience.

In our life, If we want to focus on learning new things and for that, we must have a calm mindset. We should not have any other load or any tension or pressure that can lead to distractions in our minds. Else, you won’t be able to focus on the great stuff you will learn. This article will share my journey to become a certified data scientist, even starting my career as support IT person. I will be sharing how I started and continued my journey, even being busy with my nine to five schedule.

Don’t ever go with the flow; be the flow.

Research shows that the following crowd makes negatively affects our ability to make the right decisions. You want to go with the flow or not; it all depends on you. But destiny depends on your flow. Your future will put you on a random path; now, it is your responsibility to modify the way according to your skills and knowledge. If you move in the same flow as others in that path, it will be more challenging to change your career, And if you want to make change your job, you need to make your flow, and that flow should be continuous. You will find many obstacles in your flow, but you need to be so constant that barrier doesn’t play a significant role in your success journey.

As I started my job, I start observing others in my project, like what others are doing. I found out that many people are still working in their previous IT jobs for more than five to six years, and now they don’t have enough knowledge about the latest technologies. We can say that they become so much used to the support task that they can not switch their careers to different fields. So the flow should create at the beginning but not too late.
