When trying to standardize our service to service communication, we struggled to successfully use a standard product to declare our service APIs within our entirely JavaScript/TypeScript environment. Ultimately, we decided to write our own, using a subset of TypeScript to create a limited Interface Description Language. Join me as I walk you through the problems we faced, why we made the decision we did, and some of the implementation choices along the way!
