In this talk, I discuss things all frontend devs should be ready for when getting ready for interviews.

Front end developers are involved in everything that impacts the navigation, layout, and design elements of desktop and mobile sites and apps. That means they must be skilled in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; in addition, they must have great “soft skills” such as communication and teamwork, as they’re often working in multi-disciplinary teams with back-end developers, designers, and others.

Very few frontend developers “like” interviews because it usually tests things that we never use on a day to day basis. Regardless we have to learn some specific things to make things easier.

If you are a JS dev looking to land your first job or even get a lead developer role somewhere new, hopefully, this talk will help you prepare for the next step in your career.

Popular frameworks like React.js, Vue, Angular and Svelte pop up in interviews but not nearly as much as you would expect. We will go over some of the common questions, types of interviews, questions you should prepare and anything else you need to nail that web development job hunt.

Most of the tips here are applicable to the backend and node.js devs too (just where you should focus your time is obviously different).

Web developers are in demand and you can get much better salaries by practising for interviews. I know plenty of super-smart developers (frontend and backend) who struggle with interviews because of stress and lack of preparation.

So hopefully all of these web development interview questions can prepare you to be ready for giving the answers.
