However, despite losing his job, he established two more successful companies - Next and Pixar. However, he returned to Apple in 1997. Under his reign, Apple launched many revolutionary products, including the iPod, iPhone and iPad, which are now seen as dictating the evolution of modern technology. After battling pancreatic cancer for nearly a decade, jobs died in Palo Alto on October 5, 2011. He was 56 years old.
