Antithetical to the fad that is going on right now, where the article titles are conveying a negative notion about Data Science, although they expose the truth and reality, I decided to go with a cliche title :-P Since everyone is writing about Data Science — why one should/ should not become a data scientist, why it is interesting / not interesting, I thought I might as well write one. I am a Data Analyst working at a startup for a while, where I have worked with Data Scientists, Product Managers. I am here to share my opinions based on my experiences and be helpful in some way
This article is meant for those who want to venture into this field, to give them an idea of what to / what not to expect from it, what to look out for when applying for a job in Data Science and what are different options available when you want to try out management roles while still being connected to ‘Data’.
