Should Developers be Excited about the Apple M1 Silicon MacBook Pro

As a developer, the M1 chip sounds very exciting. It could have a lot of benefits to making websites and apps. Coding on MacBooks, if its HTML, CSS or JS is pretty standard, with difficulties for battery etc. But doing JavaScript on the M1 chip with way more CPU performance and battery utilisation sounds very exiting. Especially the React Native implications of running up apps natively without emulation!
