What Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders?

Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders is a mod that adds a great deal of depth to Minecraft by implementing 3D lighting and visuals. While the world will remain blocky as always. 

Light will curve around corners, objects will cast more realistic shadows and water effects will be greatly improved with this mod, even without using any resource packs to upgrade the look of Minecraft. The Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders (also known as SEUS), is one of the first shaders mod for Minecraft. It adds lots of graphic features/improvements to Minecraft, including but not limited to shadows, water reflection, lens flare, motion blur, improved fog, realistic shaders, glossy blocks, bump mapping and lots of other graphic enhancements.

Please note that this mod/shaders requires GLSL Shaders Mod to work.Shaders greatly enhance the graphic look of Minecraft, this means however, that it will take a lot og GPU power when you use it. 

It is not recommended to use shaders with a graphic card below the NVIDIA 8800GT GPU. I have a pretty fair PC (Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680, 16 GB DDR RAM), and my FPS are smooth varying between 30-60.The author of this mod and these shaders recommend the Chroma Hills Resource Pack to get the most out of the shaders, as it is very compatible with the SEUS Mod.

How to install SEUS for Minecraft

1. Download and install GLSL Shaders Mod, this is required for SEUS to work.
2. Download a SEUS shaderpack from above.
3. Copy the zip file to your .minecraft/shaderpacks folder.
4. Select the shaderpack you installed from the shaders menu in Minecraft.
5. Enjoy the beaty of Minecraft shaders!
6. If you are experiencing performance issues, try the following tweaks:
7. Run Minecraft in a smaller resolution in full-screen.
8. Try to toggle smooth FPS ON (Options > Video Settings > Performance > Smooth FPS). This gives more responsive input and more steady fps, but will most likely lower your maximum FPS.
